The Opportunity:

My client are looking for a knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor to join their vibrant, young team. The successful candidate will be somebody with minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

They don’t mind which level of Quantity Surveyor they take on, they’d be happy with an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor that they can bring up through the ranks or a Senior Quantity Surveyor who already knows the ropes.

They’re looking for someone with housing experience, although a combination of general build and housing is acceptable. There will be plenty of room for development within this position, so if career progression is key for you, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll be brought in to work on sites, with anywhere between 30 and 500 units being built at any one time.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be working primarily from the office, with two site visits a fortnight, getting involved with:
* Valuations and preparations on site
* Managing and authorizing contractor payments
* Preparing tender and contract documents
* Managing and monitoring the status, and ensuring timely and complete payment of retention
* Performing risk, value management & cost control

Key Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industry, working as a Quantity Surveyor. Housing experience is preferred.
* Either an HNC or HND is compulsory. Having a relevant BSc is not essential.
* Driver’s license is essential.
